REAL INDEPENDENCE IS DEPENDENCE ON KRISHNA
[Prabhupada indicates that real independence belongs to both men and women equally. Real Independence means full dependence on Krsna and Guru:]

"In other words, the living entity is situated between the two energies of the Lord, and because he belongs to the superior energy of the Lord, he has a particle of independence. By proper use of that independence he comes under the direct order of Krsna. Thus he attains his normal condition in the pleasure-giving potency." -Bg 18.78p

"Real independence means complete faith in the mercy of the Lord without dependence on the conditions of matter. This paramahamsa stage is the highest perfectional stage in bhakti-yoga, the process of devotional service to the Supreme Lord." -SB 1.18.22p
