carob brownies


INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
4 T yogurt or sour cream
1 t non-alcoholic vanilla
1/2 c yogurt whey (or thinned buttermilk or thinned yogurt)
3/4 c carob powder
1/4 t salt
2 cups sugar
1 c flour
1 c chopped pecans or walnuts

PREPARATION
(preheat oven 350 degrees)
1. Melt the butter. Mix in the yogurt, milk and vanilla.
2. Combine the dry ingredients.
3. Mix dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
4. Bake in a 9x9" pan greased with ghee and then dusted with flour.
5. Bake for about 35 minutes or until fragrant and done looking.  Cut into cubes when just a little cool. They should separate nicely.

Offer to Krishna as a delicious dessert.
