Carob Chip Cookies
INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 375° F.
The original recipe came from here: Toll House Cookies.- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
- Beat the butter and sugar in another bowl until creamy.
- Add the yogurt and vanilla and mix well.
- Gradually stir in the flour mixture, carob chips and nuts.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
The recipe says 1 t salt, but it was too much for my taste. 1/2 - 3/4 t is better.
The yogurt is what replaces the eggs. Sour cream would be good also.
